BROOKSIDE Whole Cranberries snack transforms a cookie favorite into a truly extraordinary treat.
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups uncooked rolled oats
1 cup (7-oz. pkg.) BROOKSIDE Dark Chocolate Cranberries
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Heat oven to 350°F.
Beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in large bowl until well blended; beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, chocolate covered cranberries and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Do not over bake; cookies should be slightly moist in center. Cool several minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 36 cookies.
