Our crisp and colorful creation has a little something for every taste.
4-1/2 cups crisped rice cereal squares, divided
1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Premier White Chips
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
3/4 cup powdered sugar, divided
1/3 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup (7-oz. pkg.) BROOKSIDE Dark Chocolate Açai with Blueberry flavors, BROOKSIDE Dark Chocolate Goji and Raspberry flavors or BROOKSIDE Dark Chocolate Pomegranate and Fruit flavors
1 cup whole almonds
1 cup dried sweetened cranberries
Place 2-1/4 cups cereal in each of two large mixing bowls; set aside. Line two large trays or cookie sheets with wax paper.
Place white chips and 2 tablespoons butter in medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal in one bowl; stir until cereal is evenly coated. Pour cereal mixture into large resealable food storage plastic bag.
Add 6 tablespoons powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until cereal is well coated. Spread cereal mixture on prepared tray. Cool completely.
Repeat procedure with chocolate chips using remaining cereal, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar.
Stir together cooled cereal mixtures, chocolate pieces, almonds and dried cranberries. Store in a dry, cool place. About 7-1/2 cups snack mix.
